The Audiology Academy only provides training to Audiology professionals who are HCPC/AHCS registered, or employed by someone who is.

In addition, please be aware that to attend most of our practical clinical courses we have a pre-requisite that you must have previously successfully completed training to perform Ear Examination (Otoscopy) to current BSA standards, and you must be competently performing this regularly. Your Otoscopy training must have provided you with a clear understanding of the anatomy of the outer & middle ear, conditions of the outer and middle ear, and medical referral red flags as outlined by BSHAA/BAA/AIHHP.

NB: Ear examination training is included in the Audiology Academy Hearing Care Assistant course, so it is therefore not a pre-requisite for that course.

If you are not currently trained and competent in ear examination, we do have an Ear Examination course that you can book on to. Please be aware that the ear examination training includes completion of a clinical skills observation logbook in the workplace under the care of your registered Audiology/ENT professional.
